Well, 2008 has been and continues to be a lively challenge. Without rehashing what is known about the economy and singing the blues we have a great opportunity in front of us. We who provide tours to the public and to our private groups should make sure that the experience we provide is worth the money spent.
Notice that we do not say that a tour should be cheap, anyone can sell cheap, but the experience should be worth the money spent. Statistics show that people continue to travel, but they may buy only one tour or adventure not two, or buy five short tours instead of ten tours. Statistics also show that a potential traveler is less likely to go back to a previously visited site unless there is something new involved.
The opportunity in front of us is to provide that new experience for our travelers. All-In-One Tours is constantly creating new and different experiences for travelers. Check out the website or give us a call for some ideas. We will come to you or you can come to us. Remember for motorcoach tours we will use any company you wish or we will price the coach around to get you the best value. With rising gas prices we should see an upswing of motorcoach tours as has been the tradition. So be ready for the 2009 season.
Cruises to Europe are extremely popular with the dollar being so weak. Travelers can still enjoy Europe without spending money on accommodations and meals while visiting via ship. Now is the time to plan that Baltic or Mediterranean Cruise.
Speaking of cruising, Alaska remains a hot – or cool – destination. Prices are still good even with the air costs going up. Canada/New England affords opportunities for us to provide that “special tour” in any of the ports of call.
Although European land tours are expensive we have a really great Northern Ireland Tour to offer this year. For all our groups that have been so successful with the Ireland tours in the past this is a great tour for you!
Finally, now before you say I could never offer a Civil War Tour, think about this. Next year will mark the beginning of a six year commemoration of the American Civil War with a great deal of media coverage. Civil War tours do not have to be strictly on Battlefields and they can focus more on the “human side” than battle tactics. In addition we add other non-Civil War experiences and we promise you a winner. Think about it.
We wish you happy travels and hope that you will consider us to plan your special experience for your special customers.
