Come to a Lancaster “Mud Sale.” Don’t know what a Mud Sale
is? They’re a series of auctions that draw the Amish and the local Lancaster
people. Appropriately named for the condition of the thawing ground, these
sales are known for great buys and great local food! You’ll find bargains
on anything from Amish quilts and antiques to buggies and lawn equipment.
Try your hand at bidding or just observe the action. The “sea of buggies”
used to transport the Amish to these sales is truly an awesome sight.
